How to create a UPI QR code online — step by step

  1. Enter your shop or business name (it appears to the customer when they scan).
  2. Enter your UPI ID in the format name@bank — for example ravi@oksbi, 9876543210@paytm, or yourshop@okicici.
  3. Optionally enter a fixed amount in rupees, or leave it blank to let the customer enter the amount.
  4. Optionally upload your business logo for the centre of the QR.
  5. Tap Generate UPI QR Code, then Download QR (PNG). Print it and display it at your counter.

UPI QR code generator with amount

You can lock a fixed rupee amount into the QR. When a customer scans a fixed-amount QR, the exact figure is already filled in — they simply confirm and pay, with no chance of typing the wrong number. This is ideal for set prices: a fixed service charge, a tuition or course fee, an event ticket, or a set donation. For a normal shop counter where the bill changes each time, leave the amount blank so the customer enters it.

UPI QR code generator with logo

Add your own shop or business logo to the centre of the QR to make it look professional and recognisable at your counter. The tool keeps the logo small and places a white border behind it so the code stays easily scannable. Upload only your own logo — a clear, square image works best. We do not add payment-app logos such as PhonePe or Google Pay, because a single app logo can wrongly suggest customers must use that one app, when your QR in fact works with all UPI apps.

Business and merchant UPI QR codes

This tool creates the same kind of payment QR a merchant displays at the counter. For a small shop, stall, freelancer, tuition centre, clinic or home business, a printed UPI QR linked to your own UPI ID is usually all you need to start accepting digital payments — no special hardware, no monthly fee. Larger merchants who want extras like settlement reports, a payment sound box, or staff-wise tracking can register with a payment provider, but those are optional add-ons; the basic merchant QR you generate here already lets any customer pay you directly.

Does this QR code work with PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm?

Yes. UPI QR codes follow a single common standard set by NPCI, so one QR works with every UPI app — PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay and the UPI feature inside banking apps. You do not need a separate QR for each app, and you do not need any particular app yourself. The single code you generate here is accepted everywhere.

Which banks and UPI IDs are supported?

Any valid UPI ID works, from any bank or UPI app — SBI (@oksbi), ICICI (@okicici or @icici), HDFC, Axis, Paytm (@paytm), and smaller or regional banks such as JK Bank alike. UPI is interoperable by design, so the QR does not depend on which bank issued your UPI ID. Just enter your real, active UPI ID in the name@bank format.

Is it safe to generate a UPI QR code here?

Yes. The QR is created entirely inside your browser. Your UPI ID, business name, amount and uploaded logo are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to, seen by, or stored on our servers. A UPI QR only lets people send money to your ID; it never exposes your bank balance, transaction history, or any ability to take money out of your account. As a sensible habit, scan your finished QR with a one-rupee test payment before printing it.

FAQs

Q: How can I create a UPI QR code for free?

Enter your UPI ID and business name in the tool above and tap Generate UPI QR Code. Download the PNG and print it or display it at your counter. There is no charge, no signup and no watermark.

Q: What is the difference between a UPI QR code and a payment link?

A UPI QR code is a scannable image you display in person, so a customer in front of you can scan and pay. A payment link is a web link you send to someone to pay remotely, and it usually needs a payment-gateway account. This tool creates UPI QR codes for in-person payments, not payment links or gateways.

Q: Do I need a merchant or current account to use a UPI QR?

No. Any personal or business UPI ID works for receiving payments. A merchant or current account and a payment provider are only needed if you want extras like settlement reports or a sound box, which are optional.

Q: Will I be charged a fee on payments received through this QR?

UPI person-to-person payments are generally free. Any charges depend on your bank or payment provider and your account type, not on this tool. Check your provider for the terms that apply to your account.

Q: Can I print this QR code and use it at my shop counter?

Yes, that is exactly what it is built for. Download the PNG, print it at any size, and laminate it for the counter. Print it large enough to scan comfortably from across the counter, and always test it with a small payment first.

Q: Does the tool store my UPI ID?

No. The QR is generated on your device and nothing you enter is sent to our servers. Closing the page leaves no record of your UPI ID with us.
